Tomorrow we begin the drive to Palmetto, Florida to pick up our new Catalina 385. On the first leg we will first sail around the tip of Florida to Miami. All new sailing territory for us. Then, weather permitting, we will continue to Bimini, Grand Bahama Island and the Abbacos before heading south to the Exumas. We have yet to see Sable in the water. But we have new crew shirts, a gift from our daughter Lilla.

And just this morning we received a bon voyage gift from our granddaughter Ellen and her boyfriend Matt, who will join us for a week after the new year. Looks like we are as ready as we can be. Our favorite cabernet. Hope they don’t expect us to save it for their visit.

Collecting more material for our novel, Night Watch but hope it won’t be as lasting as our poisonwood adventure.
Stay tuned,

Jan and Ed
