LeadingAge of Maine and New Hampshire recently awarded Michael A. Palmieri, President and CEO of Havenwood-Heritage Heights, the “Excellence in Leadership Award.” Michael was nominated by his peers, residents, family members and staff to receive this award. LeadingAge of Maine and New Hampshire is an association of not-for-profit long-term providers from throughout Maine and New Hampshire, which promotes healthy, affordable and ethical long term care to our older citizens through education, advocacy, representation and collaboration. The celebration was held at H-HH’s Tad’s Place Auditorium on Wed. May 29, 2013.
The recent honor accorded to Michael Palmieri, CEO and President of Havenwood-Heritage Heights Retirement Community in Concord, N.H. was a fitting tribute to a great leader and visionary, who, when it comes to the betterment of seniors, "gets it.” He understands seniors’ needs and is passionate about implementing ways and means to bring about positive change.
Success requires that an individual accept full responsibility through and through. Palmieri does just that.
I have known Palmieri for more than 12 years, and during this time I have seen his skills in action in “real time.” He has never compromised at the expense of the senior population at H-HH. He has continually faced the everyday challenges that a leader must deal with head-on, and has done so with the powerful conviction that seniors are the backbone of society as a whole.
I wholeheartedly congratulate Palmieri on this special recognition of which he is so deserving.
