Reverie

   And now he’s gone —
   When shall I see again
    the one I love?
   While stars above
    watch over me.
   Where is my love?
   On some far distant ship
    he sleeps tonight.
   While from on high
    the moon shines bright
    upon the sea.
   Will he return?
   Guide him always, dear God.
    Come back he must!
   I cannot live
    with only just
    a memory.

Love

Love is something that takes two hearts–
     a tender kiss,
soft words spoken in the night,
the feel of lips against your cheek—
a spell like witchcraft when the moon is bright
Enfolding two spirits and making them as one.
