B.J. Prewitt

B.J. Prewitt, born Barbara Jo Donofrio, is a third-generation Arizonan of Italian descent. Her grandfather and his brothers moved to Phoenix and “found the land of milk and honey.” They were successful businessmen and opened a restaurant, a candy store and a ice cream factory. Her uncle Dominick discovered “Crystallized Cactus Candy.” She married Kenneth Prewitt, and together they raised two girls and a boy. She continues to reside in Arizona, at Phoenix's Beatitudes.
