David Beasley
David is a big believer in the power of nonfiction narrative.
A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, David is the author of 4 books, including "Inside Coca-Cola," the autobiography of former Coca-Cola CEO Neville Isdell and “Without Mercy,” the story of Georgia’s death penalty in the 1930s. His most recent book, “A Life in Red,” covers the American communist push during the Great Depression for an independent African-American nation in the Deep South.
He was a reporter and editor at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution before leaving in 2008 to become a freelance writer and author. His specialty is the history of the American South.
