Dick Levan
Dick has always enjoyed writing, whether it was short stories for the newspaper or letters to the editor of one of his many auto magazines. He purchased special occasion cards, and in the greeting section he composed verses to match the recipient’s personality.
His first foray into writing a more challenging essay occurred while he was a member of the British Auto Club of Las Vegas. A group of club members drove their cars to a multi-state show and competition held in California. He wrote an article for the club’s monthly newsletter that summarized all facets of the trip. At the request of the club president he also wrote an article entitled "My First Car" to be run with another member’s tale about his first car.
He lives at Phoebe Berks Village, a retirement home in Pennsylvania, and the first of his essays was included in the Oct. 2016 issue of Phoebe’s ‘Writers’ manuscript.
