Georgiana Palmer

Born in New York City, Georgiana Palmer worked for much of her career as a special education teacher and high school guidance counselor. She has lived in Phoenix for over 40 years. She has two daughters, one of whom, Anne, still lives in the Big Apple. The other daughter, Susan, lives nearby in Phoenix. Georgie resides at the Beatitudes Campus  in Phoenix with two small white devoted rescue dogs, Rocky and Charley.

We had never seen such poverty as we saw in Lima. Children followed us everywhere, begging for a handout. Young mothers sat on blankets cradling their tiny babies, holding their hands out, their eyes entreating pitifully.
