Kit Flynn
Kit Flynn has been a serious gardener for the past 20 years and a Durham, North Carolina, Master Gardener for 10 years. She has written about her gardening experiences for the past 10 years.
A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in ancient and medieval history, she raised four sons outside of New York City before moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She worked in fundraising for The National Humanities Center in the Research Triangle Park. Upon retirement, she returned to the classroom and earned her master's degree from Duke University.
In 2003 she became a Durham Master Gardener volunteer. The national Master Gardener Volunteer program is connected to land grant universities. Its purpose is to share horticultural advice and information throughout the community. Kit writes both for the Durham Master Gardener Volunteer newsletter and for “Triangle Gardener,” a free bi-monthly periodical available throughout the Triangle.
