Lowell and Joannie Bailey

Lowell Bailey was born in Tucson, Ariz., and attended Tucson schools before enlisting in the Navy. He earned a B.A. and M.A. at the University of Arizona and had a 39-year-long career as a physical education teacher, coach and spent 15 years as a nationally certified athletic trainer. He was married for 54 years and has four children. Lowell volunteers for Senior Olympics, Desert Botanical Garden, Mended Hearts and is a resident of Beatitudes Campus.

Joannie Bailey was born and raised in upstate New York. She was married and traveled with her Marine husband, raising four children. Civilian life included an A.A. degree and career with Bose Corporation. Widowed in 2001, she moved to Phoenix to be with her mother. Joannie is active in Senior Olympics, Grace Lutheran Church and is a resident of Beatitudes Campus.
