Robert Butler
Robert W. Butler joined the staff of the Kansas City Star in 1970 and from 1977 to 2011 was the paper's movie reviewer.
He is now employed in the public affairs department of the Kansas City Public Library. Among his duties is programming the library’s many free film series. It’s only his second job ever, and his first in the nonprofit sector (so he still feels like he’s one of the good guys).
He is the co-editor of the books "Bill Vaughan's Starbeams" and "The Best of Bill Vaughan" and the co-author of "Walt Disney's Missouri: The Origins of a Creative Genius." He currently runs the blog Butler's Cinema Scene, where he writes about all things film.
