Una and Floyd Thomas Jr.

Una Thomas received her master’s degree in sociology from the University of Kansas, then worked in psychiatric and medical research for the Menninger Foundation in Topeka and on various projects for the Veterans Administration. Her son Floyd Thomas Jr. earned his master’s and doctorate in American studies from the University of Kansas. He recently retired as curator of the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio.
