“Just use your other hand,” he encouraged.
“Give it a workout and don’t be discouraged.”

But my Momma hand had something to say,
While brushing my teeth the very next day.

I tried it “lefty,” to no avail.
Wrong-handed I tried it and began to fail.

While Momma hand tried to interfere,
“Here, Darling, let Momma do it, Dear.”

My teeth chimed in too, “It is taking too long,
“The brushing is definitely going so wrong.”

“You’re going sideways, not up and down,
“You’d better get help or we’ll need a new crown.”

So then Lefty gave up and started to fuss,
“You’re never happy and I’m wanting to cuss.

“I’m doing the best that I can, I’ll just quit.”
And happily, Momma hand said, “Let me do it.”
