Once there was a seed that fell to the ground. It blew in the wind and fell into a seam in the aggregate cement. It was a delicate pink Petunia.

All summer long it grew and people walked around it, smiling as they walked by. It was a beautiful visual example of survival and hardship with courage to survive adversity.

As the summer was gone and the cold weather returned the flower died. But the memory remained. People had taken pictures of it.

People are like flowers. We may not always like where we are located but there are lessons to be learned in our fragile lives.

Look for the gentle wind that may blow you to a place where you can be an inspiration for others. People may be able to do a whole lot more than the small but strong flower.

There is hidden strength in all of us. Let your memory recall the strength of the Petunia.
