Traveling with a Plan
We have been in Paris more than a month now.
I believe that it was the Prussian military theoretician Clausewitz who introduced the idea of “the fog of war,” a really fine phrase that denotes the uncertainties, confusions, and marked limitations of vision that characterize most soldiers’ experience of war, especially on the battlefield itself.
Blogger friend Suzanne recently completed a great-sounding vacation trip with husband Malcolm that included a ride on the Amtrak Zephyr from the Bay area to Chicago.
With plans for lots of RV trips over the next few years Betty and I have been discussing how we will travel and still stay connected with those at home.
