Alex Kislik
Born in Ukraine before World War II, Alex Kislik was conscripted as a teenager into a forced labor battalion by the invading German army. After the war he escaped from the Russian zone to the American zone and eventually to the United States. He joined the U.S. Army and served as an instructor of the Russian language. After military service he became a citizen and chose drafting as his career. He worked in California and Arizona, earning several awards for improvements in his profession. He resides at the Beatitudes Campus in Phoenix.
